    Title: Currant Pie
    Categories: Cake, Pie
    Yield: 1 servings

    1 c Buttermilk
    2 Eggs
    1 c Sugar
    1 c Black currants
    2 c Flour
    Baking soda
    Sour cream

Some Russian pies are more like what we call cakes.

Mix the buttermilk with the black currants and some sugar. Add the
baking soda, eggs, and 1 cup of sugar. Mix well and then add the
flour. Pour this batter into a pan and cook at 390°F.

Make a mixture of about 4 parts sour cream to 1 part sugar. When the
pie is done, cut it into two layers. Put this mixture between the two
    layers and on top.
