12 Novemebr 1990 - A WORLDWIDE WEB OF INTERNET COMMUNICATION IS PROPOSED: English computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee publishes a proposal to
interlink communications via the internet through hypertext, like this,
for a project called "WorldWideWeb," a web of documents viewed by
"browsers." Within weeks, he'll have built the necessary infrastructure
and published the first web pages, describing this very project.

    Title: Internet-Famous Crispy Potatoes
    Categories: Five, Potatoes, Herbs
    Yield: 6 Servings

4 lb Yukon gold or redskin
    - potatoes
lg Handful salt (for the water)
    Olive or avocado oil or
    - goose fat

    MMMMM-------------------------SEASONINGS------------------------------
    Fresh rosemary
    Old Bay seasoning
    Maldon salt
    Black pepper
    Cayenne pepper
    Sweet Hungarian paprika
    Garlic powder

    MMMMM---------------------FLAVORFUL GARNISH--------------------------
    Chopped parsley or dill

    Set your oven @ 450-|F/232-|C.

Clean and cut the potatoes into your desired size and
place them in a pot of cold water. Add a handful of salt
and bring to a boil. Cook 10-15 minutes, until they are
    almost fork-tender.

Drain the potatoes and use a spoon to rough-up the edges
of them. This increases the surface area, which will
give them more places to get crispy.

Transfer the potatoes onto a half-sheet pan. Drizzle
with the oil and seasonings. Make sure everything is
lightly but evenly coated in the oil and seasonings.

Roast 15-25 minutes (every oven is different so go by
appearance not by a timer) and toss the potatoes around
a couple times while they roast.

When the potatoes look near perfectly crispy, turn off
the oven and let them sit in the oven with it off for
10-15 minutes. My mom inadvertently found out that this
gets them extra crispy when she originally just started
doing it so she could prepare the potatoes in advance!

Finish with fresh, tender dill or parsley.

    Title: Internet-Famous Crispy Potatoes

While you were out, i tried this recipe. I cubed the potatoes.
I served them in a bowl mixed with parsley and Texas Caviar.
My youngest sister said it tasted amazing and she wanted the
recipe. Thanks for sharing it. :-9

    Title: Legal's Inaugural Fish Chowder
    Categories: Seafood, Soups, Cheese, Vegetables
    Yield: 3 Quarts

    1/2 c Butter
    3 c Diced onions
    1/4 c Fine grated carrots
    2 ts Minced garlic
    1/2 c Flour
    12 c Concentrated fish stock
4 lb Fish filets; such as 2 lb
    - cod, 1 lb monkfish & 1 lb
    - halibut (note from Al: I
    - believe any firm white
    - fish will do)
    2 c Light cream
1/2 c Fine grated Monterey Jack
    Salt & freshly black pepper

Heat the butter in a large saucepan until softened,
and saute the onions, carrots and garlic in it,
stirring frequently, for about 5 minutes. Remove from
heat and slowly stir in the flour. Return to the heat,
and cook, stirring, for about 4 minutes. Meanwhile,
begin heating the stock in a large pot. Whisk the
stock into the flour mixture. Bring the stock to a
boil, whisking constantly, then reduce the heat, and
    simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the fish and simmer about 10 minutes longer. Stir
in the cream and cheese, and simmer until the cheese
melts, about 5 to 8 minutes. (You won't distinguish
the cheese as such, it is incorporated in the
chowder.) Reheat the chowder slowly so the cream
    doesn't boil.

    Makes about 3 quarts.
