I don't think you can have read-only members in a telegram group.
You can mute users so that they are still able to be in the group but can't post.
I don't see a mute user option. Are you using a special bot
to manage a group or users?

Maybe it's tied to specific bots and can only be done in TG from thatside. Don't know the details. I've only just recently added the Rose bot to my BBS TG group and being able to mute users is one of the options.
Tell us more about this BBS TG group. What is it and how are you usingit?
?SUBJ:? Telegram botsthe subject correctly above? Should show up as "Telegram bots".
Forgot to hit the reply button on my last message. By the way, did I do
Currently only thing in there are one way messages from my BBS (one way)as people log on and off. Same kind of junk that is in my BBS twitter feed. I do have the link posted on my board should anyone want to join.
t.me/shadowscope_bbsI would like to tie my BBS general chat "echo" (which is currently just a local base) into the TG as well.
Only user currently in the chat (aside from bots) are myself. Eventually
Re.. the SUBJ, you did that incorrectly. Telegram seems to want tochange two dashes side by side into an ellipse. To produce two separate dashes, type two of them and then hit the backspace key. And the closing two dashes have to be AFTER the last char of the subj string, like so:
--Subj:######--<CR>
Body of message starts on a new line.
HTH.
Ok. Good to know.
Otherwise.. the bot will simply take the first 40chars of the first lineof a message and use that as the Subj to fido. So, even though you got the --Subj: -- command wrong, it took "?SUBJ:? Telegram bots" as part of the new subject because that is what you placed within the first 40chars of your message anyway.
That part I did remember. I just like the subjects to look all nice andnear when I am on my board.
