Women who drink two or three cups of coffee a day have been found to have lower total body and abdominal fat than those who drink less, according to a new study published in The Journal of Nutrition.

    Hello, August!

Monday September 14 2020 20:20, from August Abolins -> All:

Not so much on the topic of coffee but the "othernets" FTN network aliveness.

So, the FTN zone 8 is a typical "other net" and we usually have invite announcements posted in the othernets echomail, though I haven't seen such.

This forward proves that othernets exist, they have traffic with even diverse echomail hierarchy like FamilyNet.*

The name of this echo represents a place akin where people can
meet and talk about pretty-much anything. For lack of ideas,
the joke has been to post something coffee-related. But there
is no objection to other topics.

FamilyNet is huge in the number of topic areas. But not many
people have found the place, and therefore quite empty.

There are several othernets, with varying degrees of activity. Whether or not they get advertised is entirely up to i would guess admin or coordinators of The specific nets.

familynet was officially shut down years ago... "someone" rescued the name and it has languished since along with many of the other nets that person also "rescued" when they were shutdown by their owners...

"rescue" sounds very apropos. i.e. Fidonet reference to the dog.

Actually, I think it was a network that was at least somewhat active, once
upon a time. IIRC, the host stopped bbsing and it may have fallen into
other hands. I think it is more likely a place people used to go but don't
    go as much any more.

I was told to stop drinking diet green tea, because of the caffeine
(22 milligrams per 12 ounce bottle). So, I've gone back to flavored
water. Just regular water is too bland for me. I'm trying to avoid
    sodas.

    "Rescue" sounds short-sighted; networks were meant to be ephemeral;
there's no point in keeping around a zombie network.

Artificial sweeteners are best avoided. Try citrus-infused water? I
usually buy a handful of limes at the store and use those in my
water, or in a pinch one of those plastic lime-shaped squeeze
    bottles.

And, if I accidentally fill my glass with vodka, it works, too.

I'm drinking the flavored water from Wal-Mart...the only 2 main
flavors they have are strawberry, and black cherry...but it's cheaper
for a 12 pack than to buy the liter bottles at Kroger.

And, if I accidentally fill my glass with vodka, it works, too.

That may be a clear liquid, but you do NOT want to use that if you
are preparing for a colonoscopy. One woman did that, and her heart
stopped on the table. They had to stop the procedure, and revive her.
So, she had to do the prep work again, as well as the procedure, and
had to pay the full cost.
