    I guess it depends on the kind of publicity/promotion an app gets when it is associated with a particular activity. TgM has a pretty good chance of being the defacto goto messenger to be associated with Fidonet! :)

    heard of that but never understood its applications.

    projects. But do they offer the application kit/API that
    Telegram offers? I have to ask Stas why he settled with
    Telegram and not the others.

    Nothing is wrong. NA is popping into this matter a bit out of
    step (does not know the original reason why you started with
    TgM) and is astonished by your choice because the usage
    ratings charts allude to successful popularity, so why pick a
    an underdog.

    Thank you for reminding ME that you were tasked with the
    challenge/need to build a script to pass netmail to Telegram.

    It has turned out to be the beginnings of greater things! <g>

    Nothing wrong, you don't need to defend.

    It's just happened that social networks have an instant messenger included and that can be used as a transport to delivery FTN messages. You can completely skip on the social network aspect of that particular network.
