    What character do you type for the apostrophe? It seems it's high ASCII and Stas' gateway transforms it into a question mark.

    It's a bit of a luxury to just paste into Telegram (which handles those angled quote chars quite well) and not realize that perhaps it would not be a good result on the fidonet side. :/

    I checked your post in the Telegram CHAT channel and it was a "RIGHT SINGLE QUOTATION MARK", UTF-8 E2 80 99 hex.

    Perhaps Stas' gateway could translate those into the normal apostrophe/single quote (ASCII 39) for Fidonet.

    I agree.. maybe a modest translation/correction for the most common chars like the open/closed quotes (both double and single) and the ellipsis (long dash) might cover 95% of the copy-paste from websites.
