LOL! Didn't know you were a Babylon 5 fan, too! :)

Yeah, I rebuilt the BBS recently, so no back messages. So the last message traffic was from May 2019.

I guess for a show that went off the air over 20 year ago, I guess I can see this place being a ghost town.

I'm rewatching the series myself, about halfway through Season 3.

Same thing here. Found that after all this time...enjoyed the show much more
by being able to relax without any interuptions while it was in 1st run. Much more enjoyable being able to pay attention to everything going on.

It's interesting how that the first two seasons were pretty much lead ins to Season 3.

I couldn't have imagined watching it for 2 years before it got interesting. Watching it now is so much better.

I remember reading back then that JMS had a 5 year story arc for it, so that long build up made sense to me.

    Hello everyone,

Hopefully, there is still some B5 fans active on Fidonet. It's been about 10 years since I watched Babylon 5 for the first time. It is arguably the best Sci-Fi ever written for television, but the later standalone movies and spin off series had been disappointing. Does anyone remember Crusades? In any case, what are your thoughts on a B5 reboot? Heck, it seems everything has been rebooted at least once these days. Why not B5?

I regret not watching it when it first aired as I was Star Trek loyalist back in the day. However, never too late I suppose.

    Kevin.

Reboots are hit and miss. I'm not really sure it could be done and still be Babylon5.

As far as Crusade, it's been years, but I thought that it showed promise.

But then again, I think they pull the plug on a lot of shows too soon.

I have a soft spot for B5. I've only ever actually watched the first series...but it was something of a help for me when I first started building up stretches of sobriety from alcohol. Crikey - this is sounding like a heavy post! I had a very happy six weeks off the booze, probably back in 2010. My evenings were spent watching Bablyon 5 and enjoying microwavable curry - in bed. This was after either being at work, or a 10 mile hike. A healthy, happy time crowned with B5. Maybe I'll start re-watching it.

I missed the original post, but a friend of mine is worried that the CW is going to take a crap on B5. Any details on the reboot?

It is a US over the air television network.

The CW is the Warner Brothers Network. I don't know exactly what it stands for, but that is the network rumored to pick up B5.

The "C" might stand for Columbia, as in CBS.

The CW was the result of the merger of the WB Network (Warner) and UPN
(United Paramount). Paramount is aligned with CBS and, by the time they merged, CBS/Paramount had bought out United. Both networks were founded in
the mid-1990's and merged sometime in the mid-2000's.

CBS/Paramount and Warner are still joint owners, which is why some shows
that started on CBS got migrated to CW when they had a following but were
not successful enough for the "top" network. Now I think they get migrated
    to streaming.
