    Nancy,

Never had experience with that company... just as well, it seems... :)

I think the commercials for Allstate (with Mayhem) are a scream.

No doubt.... I've never been either place... haven't really had that
    much wish to, actually... :)

I've been to both...and have no desire to go back.

Another company... I've seen a few of those.... the Geico ones sometimes
are cute, too.... But they don't encourage me to switch to them... ;)

I'll keep that in mind, should I ever be tempted... ;)

The ones I like with Geico are the "answering machine recordings" with
    "a problem roommate"...such as:

    1) The male who left all the doors unlocked and wide open...and he left
all the burners on the stove on...and wonders why his Mom kept him out
    of the kitchen. <G>

    2) The female who was saying that someone broke into their apartment,
and stole all the electronic stuff...but is about to cry hysterically,
thinking they stole her $2 water bottle...then finds it.

    3) The male who calls Animal Control for their delay in coming over to
help him get rid of an angry possum...who he tried to settle down by
feeding him, but the critter is now tearing holes in the drywall, and
    building a nest.

... I didn't know it was impossible when I did it.

That's what I thought when the BBS crashed in late February...but it
was the BinkP daemon mode in Windows 10, with memory errors. Then, with thunderstorms practically every day, it made no sense to attempt any
work with the BBS. We've had some damage from high winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flash flooding...but compared to portions of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, among other areas, we've gotten off lucky.

With a few days of a weather lull, I got with my FIDONet hub, Marc
Lewis, to tweak things, and I think everything is working again. The
messages won't start flowing again until Friday morning, when the new
nodelists come out, as I told my hubs to remove the CM (Continuous Mail)
    flag from my entry.

Dunno... those all sound more foolish than funny.....

And then we've only had a belated, and truncated, return.... nothing
since this spate of April messages that arrived in early May...

Hope things are starting to come back together for you again... and that
    the weather settles down finally....!!
