    What made you think that you needed this link check? Are you perhaps connected to a system that's not all that reliable?

    I'm not all that surprised mind you, there are still some very unreliable Fidonet nodes going on, but if you contact me I can give you half a dozen truly reliable nodes to connect to.

    dude, really??? geez... the last post was April 2018... he was simply checking to see if the area was still connected... sure, it could have been done a better way with a normal post instead of one blatantly labels "link check" but damn, you don't have to do this denigrating of other systems and trying to push/sell your preferred one... i mean, really... answer the guy and let him know the link still works, period, done...
