    John,

COVID-19 has shut down most all ham radio
activities...including hamfests, license exams, classes, club
meetings, etc. The 2 facilities I was testing at in central
Arkansas have done such, so I don't know when I'll test again.

Some teams have done "online" or "remote" testing...but to me,
there's too great a potential for fraud by examinees, without VE's
there to monitor for cheating...never mind the logistics involved.

Our club Meriden Amateur Radio Club has gone to online business and activity meetings using JTSI. They also do a Saturday morning Coffee Club Net on the local 2 meter repeater and some do a "social distancing" 2 meter fox hunt on Saturday morning. This has kept our members active. We've also have a mini edtion of our newsletter called Key Klix QRP. There are nets on 6, 10 and 2 meters durning the week to keep the area members and non members active.

It looks like we will be working like this until sometime next year. Our
local club is being used by the Health Department as the EOC and we've been told we can not have access to it for the forseeable future.

I have noticed an uptick in net checkins, since COVID-19 really kicked in.
My license exam team will resume exams in September, but it'll be a "low contact, in person session", with COVID-19. Everyone will be required to
have masks, and I'll provide the VE's with gloves.

It looks like we will be working like this until sometime next year.

The local library had cancelled all activities for 2020, but kept my group
on the calendar. I'm waiting for final approval from the libary.

Sorry for the delay in replying...the main BBS computer had a power supply and hardware failure 6 weeks ago. I tried to get a hardware upgrade, but the CPU's nowadays only will take 64-bit systems. Thankfully, my late Mom's computer is 32-bit, so the BBS has found a new home.
