Playing around with settings for a new monitor, I've managed to break my
    xorg stuff.
With System Rescue, Xorg.0.log says Failed to load module "nvidia", and
true enough it's not in /lib64/xorg/modules/drivers/. However, there is
    a /lib64/nvidia390/xorg/nvidia_drv.so.
Should I try to change to a "nouveau" driver? If so, how?
Should I try to point the Xorg stuff to the nvidia_drv.so? If so, how?
    Help gratefully received.

The way I would do it is to edit the kernel parameters during boot to append
" 3" (without the quotes), which should get you to a text only terminal login. You may need to press "alt+ctrl+f2" to switch to a login.

Login as root, then run XFdrake. Use cursor up/down and then press enter to select items, and go through the options for the graphics card. Use the cursor keys and enter, to select the ok button after each change etc.

Thanks Dave - needed a bit of playing around with various options but
    I'm back up and running.
