The princeton mirror hasn't updated in a week and the admin is not currently available.

Best to switch to another mirror for now.

    Regards, Dave Hodgins

    Hi Dave

I see ten mirrors lagging updates. Is this the thin edge of a wedge or a normal fluctuation? I rarely check

you would need to check https://mirrors.mageia.org/ to see if other
stale mirrors are in the same chain using princeton.

    I rarely check

I found it fairly easy to check the time stamp file via batch/cron from http://mirror.math.princeton.edu/pub/mageia/mageia_timestamp

    Hi Dave

Princeton is a tier 1 mirror that synce directly from Mageia. mirror.cedia.org.ec and mirror.aarnet.edu.au both sync from Princeton according to https://mirrors.mageia.org/

The ones that show an X at https://mirrors.mageia.org/status either do not include
that repo in the syncing, or they only provide https, not http. The status page is updated using http connections only. It doesn't check https, ftp, or rsync.

The others I haven't looked into.

Forgot to answer the last part. It's normal fluctuation, especially during the summer.

The status page is the one I look at when it crosses my mind
I was aware of the updates for the past week or so and then it went
quiet and now I know why. There will be a short hiatus from updates :-)

    regards

Just change to https://kernel.org/ mirror. :)

I have used mirror.arrnet and mirrors.kernel and switched to princeton because it seemed faster

it's up to date this morning and I have a notification.
So the wheels are turning steadily

When I have a choice, I use James Whitby's mirror, which is apparently synchronized with Princeton. But for a mirror, I simply use the
    Mirrorlist for everything.

That was 8 days ago. :-) The princeton mirror and the mirrors that sync from is are back to normal.
