    Mageia I believe long ago fixed the problem with QT_PLUGIN_PATH. The
    advice from the QT people was always that the setting of this path was
    no recommended, and Mageia, when this problem with zoom surfaced,
    altered itself to not set this path by default.

    Ie, thie wiki.mageia.org page is somewhat outdated, and needs an
    upgrade.
    Note also that zoom packages older thn 5.8 have serious security bugs in
    them In fact my University refuses to connect with older versions and we
    are forbidden to use them because of the security problems. (Of course
    the one referenced above is newer than 5.8, but the wiki is not.)
