• klatexformula and startup

    From William Unruh@2:250/1 to All on Thu Sep 30 16:17:15 2021
    klatexformula decides that since you once ran it, you want it to come up
    on every bootup. Unfortunately, it incompetently does not have the files
    it needs, so it always comes up complaining that a file is unavailable.
    I do not want it to come up every time. I want to open it when I need
    it.

    Where is it hidden that tells the system to restart it every time yu
    boot?a How do you stop that?

    No idea since I run xfce4 and not Plasma/kde.

    In the past I have found autostart by right clicking app taskbar icon and finding autostart in popup menu or preferences/config.

    Other place to look
    systemsettings->Startup and Shutdown->Autostart
    systemsettings->Startup and Shutdown->Session Management, set Start with an empty session

    When all else fails. See if it affects the "junk" user, then you can
    dissect his files to track it down
    Sometimes reverse fingering all that's left.
