• icon spacing in MGA 8

From faeychild@2:250/1 to All on Wed Apr 21 09:12:59 2021

I have not seen anyone else query the icon spacing in MGA 8 desktop and Dolphin. I am finding the separation to be a bit sparse particularly in Dolphin

So I did some Googling and found a few suggestions to edit /usr/share/plasma/plasmoids/org.kde.desktopcontainment/contents/ui/FolderView.qml

Unfortunately the code in FolderView.qml for MGA8 is different from MGA7 FolderView.qml and the instruction don't apply.

Any chance of squeezing them up a bit?

Just a reminder that modifications to system files may be lost during
    the rpm update.

And when it comes to Plasma, the same is true of modifications in user
    files.

The Friendly Folks at KDE are not as reluctant to mess around with user configurations as Mageia is.

Indeed! Whilst in the forest it may pay to keep looking behind,
    occasionally.

    Metaphor time :-)

Upon further examination of the file FolderView.qml, it is open to a
little experimentation - nothing to lose :-|
