• dnf vs urpmi

Getting to learn dnf, but a question arises:
dnf check-update shows one update available, but the mgaapplet shows 7
updates available. As far as I can se, the correct repositories are
    enabled. Any ideas?

First, I am confident different repositories are involved for dnf
    and urpmi.

On my machine, The update rpms dnf says are available are later
versions than the ones I have installed. You can go to Mageia 7
mcc, to install software, and search for Opera and Brave to see
what urpmi currently installs for Mageia 7.

Second, urpmi (mgaapplet) may include more dependent packages
that must, should, or could be included with a principal package.
Mageia splits up and merges rpm packages that come as a group,
And its decisions on which/how manypackages to offer often differs
from that of other distributions. They same may be true for dnf.

What's the output of "urpmq --list-media active" and "dnf repolist"?

I didn't make a note of the 6 updates that were available (it was only

    Thanks,

So the Mageia Mirrors have been added twice. Two different mirrors or a mistake?
If the same mirror has been added twice, it won't hurt anything except taking more time when checking for updates or searching for available packages in rpmdrake.
