• EFI boot selection screen

Before I reinstalled Mga 8, I temporarily activated the rEFInd boot
manager. That gave me a text menu on a blue background, with
single-line spacing. Now, I can't get rid of the darned thing!
Installing Mageia's Grub2 gives me a proper menu, but the same rEFInd
format persists. I suppose that this is coming from the master folder maintained by Windoze 10, but I am reluctant to delete anything there.
Windoze interferes so much that nowadays, I always shut it down
completely, instead of rebooting. Could I delete only the Mageia
    subdirectory there?

In a uefi firmware system, the boot loader is stored in nvram, not on disk like on
a bios firmware system where it uses the master boot record.

Use mcc, Boot, Set up boot system to change it from using refind to grub2.
