Mageia 7.1 has Kodi 18.7; the officially released version is 18.8, a
bugfix release. It will be the last release of the 18 series.
Mageia 8 has Kodi 19 from git. A dependency was missing.
There is a plug-in for MythTV, although I use IPTV.
Windows is no longer providing a Media Player. They recommend Kodi as a replacement. A download is available from the Windows Store.
Kodi does not contain pirated wares, but sources can be added quite
easily. Repositories appear and disappear all the time.
