    I think same here. Not sure what he means by "blank". All I get is a
    pretty useless Mageia "advertisement" (Change your perspective) with a dynamic little window with a falling mageia logo/name. There are no
    "Announcements" on it.

    Well, not exactly "useless." The falling Mageia logo box is a link to downloads of Mageia 7.1, and just below that the "Get involved" sentence
    is a link to the "Contribute" page. But I'd agree, since those links are available at the top of the page, and are more plainly marked as such
    there, that the eye candy isn't particularly informative.

    I see. The falling Mageia is supposed to be the bytes raining down into
    your computer which assemble themselves into the distributions. OK, I
    finally got that message. As you say, not particularly infomative.
    It does also have a tiny link to the Notes and Errata pages, so not
    quite as useless as I thought.
