FIDOTEST is down the hall on the right beside the sign reminding folks that real names, in the header or signature, are preferred in fidonet...

At least we got some traffic in here. I tried to start a conversation a
couple of years ago regarding Alaskan travel and didn't hear "boo." :)
Maybe I should have tried posting using a non-real name. :)

What are the requierments for this echo? Does one need to be from Alaska? When did the echo start? Back in the 70's I would assume. What was it's purpose
when it started? Is there an Hawaii echo? These are the important life questions that keep me awake at night. Does anyone know where I can hunt grizzly? ;-)

What are the requierments for this echo?

no clue other than the general real names usage...

Does one need to be from Alaska?

not that i've ever been aware of... there were numerous state related discussion areas at one time... this was one of them IIRC...

When did the echo start? Back in the 70's I would assume.

it would have been in the '80s after fidonet was started, AFAIK... i'd have to root through my old echolist files to see what i can find for the earliest entry there...

What was it's purpose when it started?

AFAIK just discussion of alaska, things going on there, living there, etc...

    Is there an Hawaii echo?

not any more if there was one...

These are the important life questions that keep me awake at night.

    hehehe...

Does anyone know where I can hunt grizzly? ;-)

no off hand, no... we've got coyote, wolf, fox, bobcat, and couger around here... i'd love to get rid of the coyotes since they decimated my chickens last week... got ten of my laying hens and left me with only two and the rooster :/

Thanks for answering my question. I'll sleep much better tonight. ;-) Sorry about your chickens maybe you could hire some wolves to keep the coyotes away? ;-)
