No, SlyEdit does not add a signature. Synchronet adds the signature.

it should be easy enough to adjust the BBS signature code so that it adds '---' or '--' _before_ it adds the signature... deciding which one to use would be based on if the message is destined to an FTN address or to an internet address...
I see. That could be something SlyEdit could do. However, since Synchronet is normally the one adding a signature, I'm wondering if that might be the better place for a fix for this. no, it is a tear line you need to add... that's three dashes and properly followed by a space but many just take the three dashes with nothing else on the line...
