• Nodelist update

From Wilfred van Velzen@39:150/200 to All on Sat Mar 8 11:49:04 2014
    Hi,

I just hatched out next weeks nodelist. ;)

Because there was a significant update: We have a new host for Net 902. As some of you may know Frank Linhares (the former host) system has not been functioning properly since mid december, and he is MIA probably even longer. Something had to be done about that situation, so I asked his former downlinks if they wanted to take over his "job". Kris Jones the cosysop of Dimitri volunteered. And now he is it. ;)

So everybody say hi to Kris!

    Bye, Wilfred.

So everybody say hi to Kris!
Thank you for the Welcome Wilfred :)

    Hi Kris :)
    now the convoy can continue...

Thank you Benny! I will do my best to serve this International Net for the Amiga Based Computers and OS :)

Not much experience in Amiga, but I was thinking of trying out Amiga on one of my machines, Just because my very first machine was a Commodore 64. I
later moved on to an IBM OS/2. Now I am just a junkie with a POS Acer and Windows... LOL!

I will do my best to bring in some more nodes too. I have actually had people ask me if I knew anyone with an old school Commodore for sale.

Hey guys, thank you for inviting me into this great network!

Wilfred, special thanks to you on teaching what a true nodelist was again :)

    Regards All,
    Kris Jones

Same route i had here, next for me will be to drop a pair of windows xp and install freenas on the old depricated hardware where windows now will not work on anymore

Where have you hidded for so long time? :)

Wilfred, special thanks to you on teaching what a true nodelist

He still could send it to binkp.net for inclusion in dns so i dont need old style nodelistning just for amiganet, and i dont like convert dns data or do another dns zone no one will use anyway

The Commodore 64 was my first passion, but I had a ZX81 before it, but didn't use it seriously. It was "a bit" limited with only 1KB of ram. ;)

I still have the C64, but I haven't turned it on for at least 15 years, so I don't know if it still works.

After that I had an Amiga 1000 (which I sold), after I got the Amiga 4000, which I still own...

What do they want it for? ;)

Sorry, havnt had the time to install a good message editor on EoTH Enterprise BBS yet, and still have no reason as to why I can't get the messages over to 508 correctly. If I can not deliver there (on my own system) then something is trouble wrong in my routing ;)

I will go back into GatorNet's message echo archive and see whom started the rally for the old school Commodore. I will contact them and ask them what
they would give for such a machine and get back to you on it :)

It would be interesting to know if I'm sitting on a pot of gold! ;)

But I don't think I will have to increase my insurance...

    Hi Kris,

Do you (or anyone else) know what the status of Dimitri Papadopoulos is? His system was removed from Region 56 in the fidonet nodelist this week, and his system seems offline...

    Bye, Wilfred.

    Hi,

I just hatched out an updated AmigaNet nodelist.

    There are several changes:
    - Region 17 has a new node. Welcome Vitus!
    - There are some nodes down in Net 902. But I was informed that Dimitri's node should be back in a while on a system run by Kris.
    - I removed the "vanity" ',1' RIN's from R15 and R90, which serve no technical purpose. ;)

    Bye, Wilfred.
