• Amibinkd throwing the wrong error message

From Phil Taylor@39:902/533 to All on Wed Apr 22 14:14:26 2020

This is just to let the new folkes if you going to run Amibinkd & Cnet and if you get a permission denied error it may be cause due to a firewall issue. WIth
my years experience programming since 1986, that is the wrong error to be displayed. It should really be connection refused like all the applications the
State, local and Federal gov apps do.

It could be the error message comes from the os, and binkd just reports it as is.

Anyway as I said in the binkd echo, it's all mute, because amigabinkd can't be fixed...

    Bye, Wilfred.

AmigaOS 9.02? Don't think that exists. But you probably mean AmiBinkD 9.02. :)

Thus the reason I use BinkD with CNet not AmiBinkD.... Been running it with BinkD on a PC for a year and a half with NO issues whatsoever...
